Sick visits & chronic care

A fever in the night, a cough that lingers, a rash that appeared out of nowhere — acute illness needs assessment and precise instructions. The practice is open weekdays until 21:00, so a sick child can usually be seen the same day.

Chronic childhood conditions are followed up too, with a special clinical interest in pediatric allergy — including training at the Pediatric Allergy Clinic of Hochgebirgsklinik Davos in Switzerland. Where needed, Dr Mela refers to and coordinates with the right pediatric subspecialists.

Commonly treated

  • Childhood infections and viral illnesses
  • Urgent pediatric problems within opening hours
  • Allergies and related symptoms
  • Skin conditions
  • Respiratory problems
  • Investigation and follow-up of chronic conditions
My child has a fever — when should they be seen?

It depends on age, general condition and accompanying symptoms. In babies under 3 months, fever always needs prompt medical assessment. If in doubt, call the practice.

Can a sick child be seen the same day?

The schedule is planned so that there is room for acute cases within the day. Call the practice.

We're on holiday — can you see our child once?

Of course. Visiting families are seen regularly; bring any medication the child takes and, if you have it, the vaccination record.
