The first weeks with a newborn are wonderful — and full of questions. The aim of newborn follow-up is to check what needs checking, early, and to answer what's on the parents' minds, unhurried.
You can meet Dr Mela before the birth at a prenatal consultation. For the baby's first examination, a home visit is available, so your newborn can be seen in its own environment.

When does the first newborn examination take place?
Within the first days after leaving the maternity clinic. The exact schedule is agreed with the parents, depending on the baby's needs.
Can the first examination happen at home?
Yes — a home visit for the newborn's first examination is available. Mention it when booking.
Should we book before the baby is born?
A prenatal appointment is optional but valuable: we meet, go through history and questions, and plan the follow-up before the birth.
